Check Your Phone's Water Rating
Android phones vary widely. Flagship models often carry IP67 or IP68 resistance, while many budget phones have none. Look up your model on the maker's site, such as Samsung Support. If your phone has no rating, treat any wetting seriously and power it off.
Steps to Clear the Speaker
- Power the phone off if it was submerged. Otherwise keep it on.
- Wipe the outside and remove the case.
- Hold the phone with the speaker facing down and give it a gentle shake.
- Open the tool above and start the water eject sound for 30 seconds.
- Repeat two or three times and test with a voice recording.
Moisture Warnings on Android
Samsung and some other brands show a moisture detected message when the charging port is wet. Do not bypass the warning. Wait for the port to dry or use wireless charging only if the phone supports it. The warning disappears when the sensor is dry. For general Android advice visit the Android Help Center.
If Sound Is Still Poor
Run the speaker test, check settings with our low volume fix and clean dust with the speaker cleaner sound. If water got behind the screen or camera you should see a technician.

How long should I wait before charging?
At least several hours in open air, and until the moisture warning disappears.
